Purpose of the Qualification:

This qualification is designed to equip learners with the competencies required to manage small to moderately complex projects. It enables learners to:

  • Operate in varied project contexts under general supervision.
  • Select and apply both standard and non-standard procedures.
  • Take full responsibility for project outputs and group contributions.
  • Demonstrate a broad and deep knowledge base in project management.
  • Apply a wide range of scholastic and technical skills relevant to the field.

Target Audience:

  • Individuals with prior work experience or an NQF Level 4 qualification in Project Management.
  • Those working in or with project teams across sectors (technical, business, public, community).
  • Entrepreneurs managing their own businesses using project-based approaches.

Learning Assumed to Be in Place:

  • Communication at NQF Level 4
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
  • Computer Literacy at NQF Level 4

Qualification Structure:

  • Fundamental Component: 15 credits (compulsory)
  • Core Component: 73 credits (compulsory)
  • Elective Component: Minimum of 36 credits from a pool of 95 available
